We help young people gain the skills they need to shine bright

All of our sections are open to both boys and girls, from all faiths and ethnic backgrounds, and to look after them all we have numerous leaders and helpers.

Welcome to 1st Byfleet

Our Group is situated in the village of Byfleet in North West Surrey, nestled between the Wey Navigation and the River Wey.

We are a thriving and expanding group, we have a Beaver colony for young people between the ages of 6 and 8 years, two Cub packs for those aged from 8 to 10 ½ years and two Scout troops for those aged 10 ½ to 14 years old. We also have an Explorer unit to cater for our older Scouts of 14 to 17 years old.

If you look at our group history pages you will discover that we are probably one of the oldest groups in the country, with a long tradition of commitment to the youth in our community – helping our youngsters strive to new heights, experience new challenges and most importantly of all, have fun.

Spend a few minutes looking at the full range of activities we cover with the young members, Scouting is all about meeting new people and making new friends and we welcome and encourage any parental involvement .

If after all that you feel you would like to help in some way, or join us having fun then you can contact us from the relevant page.
