Cub Scouts (8-10.5)
1st Byfleet Scout Group has two cub packs the Tiger’s and the Panther’s.
Each pack has nearly its full complement of cubs but there are a few vacancies so if you are interested please contact us to find out more. Girls and boys of any faith or ethnicity can join.
Tiger Pack meets on Wednesdays, and runs from 18:30 to 20:15.
Panthers Pack meets on Thursdays, and runs from 18:30 to 20:15.
Cubs is about meeting new people and making new friends, learning new skills, working with others and having a good time. With that in mind, we run an action packed programme to amuse and occupy you. Not only will it challenge you and be lots of fun – hopefully you will learn something new along the way.
Our programme is themed around seven different areas, Outdoor Scouting, Fitness, The world around you, Beliefs and attitudes, Global, Caring and the community.
What this means in reality is: camping, backwoods cooking, games, challenges, night hikes, abseiling, adventure courses, craft nights, science activities, canoeing, woodwork activities, cooking competitions, Day trips and visits, orienteering, charity events, family camps and social events and lots more – we have even done sleepovers on HMS Belfast!
There are many badges you can earn to sew on your uniform, some you will earn through the activities we do in the pack and some you can earn at home.
There is something for everybody at Cubs so come along and see for yourself.
Please e-mail for more information, and / or to arrange a visit.
Cub Scouts are young people aged between 8 and 10 1/2, who make up the second section of the Scouting family, between Beavers and Scouts.
A Pack of Cub Scouts is organised into Sixes, with each Six named after a colour, and a Sixer and a Seconder in charge.
